It is a lovely hand-crafted book with 100 blank pages of handmade, wood-free, eco-friendly paper. Use it for a journal, a diary -- I use mine as an address book -- my sister uses hers for her most treasured recipes -- use it for anything special that comes to mind!
The front cover of this Notebook has a framed picture - also hand-made - of an Indian woman, doing many of the traditional chores that women did (and still do)... but the truly unique part of the picture is that it is not painted. It is actually a sort of a micro-mosaic, made of crushed precious and semi-precious gemstones, with some painted highlights in gold metallic paint.
Red is cornelian agate...purple is amethyst...yellow is agate... there is a color/gemstone key on the back of the book. The colors will never fade!
